NIOSH approved for respiratory protection against organic vapors. (See respirator instructions for specific limitations.) Meets OSHA requirements for an approved cartridge.
The service life of cartridges and filters depends on several factors including breathing rate/volume, concentration of contaminants, temperature, and humidity. Replace chemical cartridges when you detect odor or taste of vapors, or when you experience eye, nose, or throat irritation.
Cartridge Replacement Instructions:
The cartridge holders must be clean. Make sure the gaskets are in place and that the threads are not worn. Also look for cracks and other damage.
To change cartridges, unscrew the used cartridges and dispose of them properly.
Check new cartridges for dents or other damage, especially to the metal bead around the bottom. Always use the proper replacement cartridges.
Grip as much of the cartridge receptacle as possible, then turn the cartridge slowly until tight. Hand-tighten so there is a good seal with the gasket in the bottom of the holder, but don't force it. If the cartridge won't go in easily, back it out and try again.
