| Q.
Can you send me chips of certain colors so I can check them out before I choose one? |
Ans: Unfortunately, the automotive industry does not make color chips available, but you can buy a color book for the current model years of domestic and foreign vehicles. We have these available in a limited number.
In addition to all of the standard manufacturer colors, we offer more than 15 billion colors of our own. Rather than small color chips that don't provide an adequate representation, we sell two-ounce samples of any color in our vast palette. You can spray this sample on a larger area than a chip would cover and get a much better idea of the way it would appear on your vehicle.
You can also browse at your leisure by ordering one or both of our two color cards. One shows 300 of our most popular colors and the other displays hundreds of our specialty hues.

| Q.
Why can't I look at the colors online? |
Ans:
Color will vary from one monitor to the next. We can't control how it will appear on your screen. What you see might not be what you get. Darker shades, for example, always appear darker than they actually are. We post some color charts online as a reference but caution our customers that there may be some variation. If you want to match the color on your vehicle, you need the paint code. You can use our convenient search option to find the code for your car's paint color.

| Q.
I have a color name but it doesn't match the one on your site. How do I make sure I get the color I want? |
Ans: The automotive manufacturers name the colors, regardless of the name given by the company that actually makes the paints, so this can get very confusing. In fact, we have one particular color that has been renamed by every manufacturer that uses it. To make it even more challenging, they change this color name from year to year, even though the color itself remains the same. Don't be fooled by the name. If you use the color code from your vehicle for that paint, we'll be able to match it!

| Q.
Where do I find the paint code? |
Ans: Colors are coded for the exterior, interior, and trim of your vehicle. These codes can be a series of numbers, letters, or a combination. The manufacturer has put these codes on your vehicle, but the placement varies according to the company. Use this chart to find our where your manufacturer has put the code and be sure you get the one for the part of your vehicle you're trying to match.
